I want to send a shout out to the wonderful people I watched do this, I learnt from them, followed their advice, watched them drop dress sizes by their before and after pictures and success stories.
Weight loss journey is not easy, it is hard work and sweet pain that is worth the while. it is easy to fall back, get tired or even discouraged especially when the people around you are not motivating you in anyway, some times people call you names like mama gee, orobo etc. This is not the time to get your spirit troubled, in times like this I look to some of my online friends that has passed this road with success stories., these friends helped me make this lifetime decision of staying fit and keeping fat away for life.
Shout out to @africanweightloss.com @chelizrubycubde.blogspot.co.uk @skinnyymi.blogspot.co.uk @annasessentials.wordpress.com
Thanks to the above listed blogs I've learnt to shed weight the healthy way with Nigerian diets. They helped me see weight loss differently, before now I thought it was difficult, stressful, expensive and unrealistic with our Nigerian delicacies but they proved me wrong. Having to report my daily meals on Africanweightlossforum was the bomb, I was afraid of Dr. Trim our anchor because if she sees any "Sinfood" on your log you will be in for it as she tells us the truth about our bad food decisions that would hurt us and make us not indulge in them again, It was for our own good and it sure paid off.
Weight loss is absolutely possible and worth it, imagine looking bigger than your actual age, looking older than your spouse, not feeling cool in your clothes, not confident enough when in public places, not liking what you see of yourself in photos taking amongst a group of cute chics, not being able to wear or try on the trendy outfits you see in fashion stores, being prone to ailments such as diabetes, heart failure, fertility issues, obesity(big tummy, folds, shapelessness, ugliness, heavy breathing, panting after climbing a small stair etc) fat indeed is a disease... All these were my stories before I decided to work on myself and get my confidence back. indeed its worth it.
It is a very easy thing to do, it takes nothing to be disciplined and have self control, just tell yourself you deserve to be better and finer, you can do it, it pays off and it's worth it. Imagine you as a young lady under the age of 30 or your present age seeing older I'm still on the journey and i'm so loving the feeling, this is it, this is in, this is for life.
Xoxo!
Gladys!
